Home Design Show Forge Partnership

12/20/2007 — Newton, MA and Chicago, IL
HomePortfolio®, the leading Internet search company focused on home design collaboration, and Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. (MMPI), today announced a first-of-its-kind partnership for MMPI’s Architectural Digest Home Design Show (March 6-9, 2008 at Pier 94 in New York City). HomePortfolio will use its powerful Internet platform and feature-rich database of premium-tier home design products to power an Interactive Product Guide for the show.

“This is the first time we’ve used our search technology and product database to power a design show Web site,” said HomePortfolio Co-founder and CEO, Rolly Rouse. “The Architectural Digest Home Design Show is a wonderful show and a great fit for us. Like HomePortfolio, the Architectural Digest Home Design Show attracts both design professionals and consumers, and it’s chock full of stunningly beautiful products,” he said. “HomePortfolio powering the Architectural Digest Home Design Show fits nicely with our plans to create syndicated partnerships with other media partners and event producers,” said Rouse.

“This is a strong partnership for the Architectural Digest Home Design Show,” said John H. Brennen III, executive vice president of Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. (MMPI), which produces the show. “HomePortfolio will help us create a more interactive show experience. The HomePortfolio-powered Product Guide will give attendees an in-depth preview of our exhibitors’ collections, helping them plan their visit to the show, and it will make it easier for them to follow up with exhibitors after the show. HomePortfolio is helping us create added value for both exhibitors and attendees,” said Brennen.

HomePortfolio makes it easier for consumers and designers to find what they are searching for and to collaborate on home design projects, and all of the Architectural Digest Home Design Show exhibitors will be able to post high-resolution product images and detailed information for free. Products will be showcased at the Show Web site (www.archdigesthomeshow.com) and at HomePortfolio (www.homeportfolio.com). This HomePortfolio-powered virtual version of the Show will stay up for an entire year, extending the value of the Show beyond on-site exposure in March.

As in past years, HomePortfolio is also the official sponsor of the Designer Consultation Area of the show, which helps bring together consumers and interior designers.
